What is on the screen
The title carries a chip — Published or Not published — and a sentence under it that says where the page stands: almost ready with how many things are left, ready to publish, or live.Your page’s address
Your hotel’s own address on otel.direct, with Copy link. Before you publish it is reserved for you; once the page is live the section says since when, and Open your page opens it in a new tab.Where your hotel is
The address guests read on your page, with a map and the way there. If your hotel is connected to Google, the section shows Google’s address and asks Is this right? — Yes, that’s right confirms it, Change lets you type it. Otherwise you type the address yourself and Save address. Once confirmed, the section says which address it is (Google’s address or Typed by you) and when it was confirmed.About your hotel
A short text under your hotel’s name, which Journey writes from your facilities and you approve. It has a page of its own: About your hotel. Before you publish
The list of what your page is built from — headed On your page once it is live. Every line has a word for its state and, where it has one, a button to its fix:
The lines, in order:
Publish your page · Take your page down
Before the page is live: Publish page, which stays unavailable until every line marked to do is done. Once it is live: Take the page down. What you do here
1
Work through the lines marked To do
Each line says what is missing and has a button to the screen where you fix it. Come back here when you are done — the list shows what is true now.
2
Confirm where your hotel is
Under Where your hotel is, press Yes, that’s right if Google’s address is right, or type the address as guests should read it and press Save address.
3
Approve the text about your hotel
Optional, but it is the first thing guests read under your name. See About your hotel.
4
Press Publish page
The button becomes available once every required line is done. Copy your page’s address with Copy link and put it on your social profiles and in your messages.
5
Take the page down if you need to
Press Take the page down, then Take it down. You can publish again at any time.
You need edit access to the reservations setup to confirm the address, approve the text or publish. Without it you see the list and the page’s state, and a note says who can publish.
Your page in your guests’ languages
Your page speaks the language of the guest who opens it, and a guest can switch languages from the button at the top of the page. Where you have written your own words in a language — a room’s text, the text about your hotel — guests read yours. Everything else Journey translates; in a language your Widget does not carry, the page says it was translated. Prices, dates and times are written from your own figures, in the guest’s language, and never translated. Google’s reviews are shown as their writers wrote them, with a link to read them on Google. What happens next
- When you publish, your page’s address opens for everyone and your hotel is listed on otel.direct. Journey sells your rooms there at your own prices and terms, and a booking made on otel.direct is recorded as Journey’s.
- When you change something the page is built from — a room’s photos, a price on the Calendar, a facility, your address, the text about your hotel — guests see the change within a few minutes. You do not publish again.
- When you take the page down, guests stop finding your hotel on otel.direct within a minute. Bookings already made stay as they are.
