Price & Availability — Calendar in the menu — is where the offer meets the actual dates. Room & Rates says what you sell; this says what it costs on the 14th of next month and how many you have.
What is on the screen
A month of days, readable as a grid or as a table. Per day:
Where you run more than one rate plan, the calendar shows them separately, because a plan is a different deal and can carry a different price.
Bulk update is the second half of the screen. It changes many days in one action:
- Date Ranges — the stretch you are changing
- Days of Week — all of them, or just Weekdays or Weekends
- Values to Update — Price, Inventory, Min Stay, Max Stay, Stop Sell
What you do here
Fix one day by editing it
Select the value and type. Use this for a single date you know is wrong.
Use Bulk update for anything longer than a few days
A season, a month of weekends, a conference week. Typing thirty days one at a time is where mistakes come from.
Set Inventory to what you will genuinely release
It is how much of your hotel you are letting this offer sell.
Use Stop Sell to close dates without deleting their setup
The prices stay; the dates simply stop being sellable. Better than zeroing inventory and having to rebuild it.
Bulk update is confirmed before it applies, and it applies widely. Read the range, the days of week, and which values you ticked in the confirmation. A price applied to the wrong quarter is quotable to guests until somebody notices.
If your channel manager is connected, it can change these dates too. A badge on the screen tells you when that is the case. Your manual edit stands until the channel next sends an update for that date, and then it may be replaced. A price you set by hand can be overwritten this way.
What happens next
A date needs four things before it can be quoted. Three are set on Room & Rates — Guerrilla Reservation switched on, the room set up, and at least one active rate plan. The fourth is this screen’s: that date carrying both a price and inventory you can still sell. A date missing any of the four is not quoted.
Strategies adjust from the price on this screen — so the calendar is the starting point, not the final word, and a day with no price is not sold at all rather than sold cheaply.
