Audiences is where you decide who a message goes to. You build a group out of conditions, and the screen tells you how many guests match while you build it.

What is on the screen

A list of your audiences, and an editor for building one. Conditions are added a row at a time, each one a fact about the guest: whether they are in-house now, whether they have stayed with children, their nationality, an upcoming reservation, a booking they left unfinished, a tag you keep on them, and whether they have agreed to e-mail or WhatsApp. The count sits beside them, and it is two numbers, not one:
Matching is not reachability. A guest can fit your conditions perfectly and still be unreachable — no address on file, or no agreement to be contacted on that channel. The second number is the one a send is measured against.
Where the count cannot be produced, the screen says it could not look rather than showing a zero.

What you do here

1

Start with one condition and watch the number

An empty audience counts nothing. Add one condition, read the count, then narrow.
2

Read the reachable figure, not the match figure

“Matches 400” and “reachable by e-mail: 30” are the same audience. The second is what will happen.
3

Name it for the message it is for

“Families arriving next month” is a name your colleague can act on; “Audience 3” is not.

What happens next

A saved audience becomes selectable when you write a broadcast. The count is recalculated at that point and again as the message goes out — an audience is a rule, not a frozen list, so who is in it changes as your guests do. Whether a guest is reachable at all is decided by Consent.
