# Event Inquiry Types

> The kinds of enquiry your AI staff can recognise and file.

**Event Inquiry Types** is the short list behind [Event Inquiries](/front-desk/event-inquiries/active) — a wedding, a group booking, a private dinner. Without it, an enquiry has no kind.

## What is on the screen

Your list of types. Each can carry a **briefing**: instructions your AI staff read when somebody asks about that kind of event. A type without one is marked **Needs briefing**.

    A type for something you do not host is a type nobody will ever file.
