# Archived Requests

> Requests that are finished, and the way back if one was closed too early.

**Archived Requests** is where a request goes once it is finished. It is the record of what your hotel was asked for and what happened.

***

## What is on the screen

A table, with a column for the guest, the room, the category, the priority, the status it ended in, and when it was created. Each row carries an action.

There is a search across name, room, and description.

***

## What you do here

<Steps>
  <Step title="Look up something that has been dealt with">
    Search by room or by what was asked. This is the screen to open when a guest says they asked for something yesterday.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Restore a request that was closed too early">
    Choose **Restore request** on the row. It returns to the working board so it can be finished properly.
  </Step>
</Steps>

<Warning>
  **Restore is for a mistake, not for a repeat.** If the guest is asking again, file a new request — a restored one carries the original's history and timings, and reusing it makes the record read as though the first job took days.
</Warning>

## What happens next

A restored request reappears on [Active Requests](/front-desk/requests/active) and is worked like any other. Everything else on this screen is history: it feeds the numbers in [Analytics](/front-desk/requests/analytics), and it stays attached to the guest's record in [Profiles](/front-desk/guests/profiles).
