# Marketing Analytics

> What each broadcast did — from delivered, through clicked, to bookings.

**Marketing Analytics** is the result of what you sent. One row per broadcast, and the chain from delivery to money.

## What is on the screen

A period at the top, then per broadcast:

|                                 |                                                                                      |
| ------------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |
| **Delivered** | Accepted by the guest's mail server |
| **Opened** · **Clicked** | What the guest did with it |
| **Bounced**                     | Refused                                                                              |
| **Bookings** | Guests who **clicked the message and then booked through RecepAI within seven days** |
| **Revenue from those bookings** | What those bookings were worth |

<Warning>
  **Delivered is not read.** It means the receiving mail server accepted the message. Where it lands after that — inbox, promotions, spam — is not something this screen can see.
</Warning>

<Note>
  **Revenue is shown per currency and never converted.** Two currencies are two figures, not one total — a converted number would depend on a rate nobody on this screen chose.
</Note>

The table shows the newest hundred broadcasts of the period; the totals above cover the whole of it.

## What you do here

<Steps>
  <Step title="Read the chain, not one number">
    Delivered, opened, clicked and booked fail in different places. A high delivery with no clicks and a low delivery are different problems.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Look into a high bounce count">
    Bounced means the message was refused. An address that no longer exists is the common cause, but it is not the only one — the count tells you to go looking, not what you will find.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Compare like with like">
    Two broadcasts to different audiences are not a fair comparison, however similar the message was.
  </Step>
</Steps>

<Info>
  **Bookings here are a narrow, deliberate count.** They are guests who clicked this message and booked through RecepAI within seven days — not every booking that happened afterwards. A guest who read the message, thought about it for a fortnight and then phoned you is not in this figure — and a guest who would have booked anyway, but clicked first, is.

## What happens next

Nothing changes from this screen. What it tells you is applied when you write the next [broadcast](/front-desk/marketing/broadcasts), or narrow an [audience](/front-desk/marketing/audiences).
