# Dashboard

> Where your setup checklist lives, and where you see how your receptionist is doing this month.

**Dashboard** is the first screen you land on. It does two jobs: it walks you through setting your receptionist up, and once she is working, it tells you how she is doing.

## What is on the screen

### Your setup checklist

Six steps, in the order that works. Each one links to the screen that completes it, and ticks itself when it is done.

| Step                            | What it means                                                 |
| ------------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Share your hotel knowledge** | Upload your documents. Everything else depends on this |
| **Meet your receptionist** | Review the identity she built, name her, publish |
| **Fine-tune chat and voice** | Her greeting, her manner, and how she hands over to your team |
| **Set their quality standards** | What you count as a good conversation |
| **Go live** | Put her on your website |
| **Keep them sharp** | Read what she reports and fill the gaps |

<Info>
  **A hotel that does not use the voice channel still finishes this list.** The voice halves of the middle steps only apply if she answers calls.

### This month's numbers

Chats, calls, guest feedback and how many documents she is working from. Enough to see at a glance how busy she has been and what guests have said.

### Needs your attention

The recent questions she could not fully answer. This is the most useful part of the screen — each line is a guest who did not get what they came for, and usually a document you have not uploaded yet.

### Hourly rate

Enter what a receptionist costs per hour in your area and the screen shows an **estimated** saving based on it. It is an estimate, and the screen says so. Nothing else uses this number; it exists so the figure is based on your market rather than an average.

### Quick actions

Shortcuts to the screens you use most.

## What you do here

<Steps>
  <Step title="While setting up: follow the checklist in order">
    Skipping ahead means redoing work — her identity is built from the library, so the library comes first.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Once live: read Needs your attention">
    Whatever rhythm suits you — but read it. It is the shortest path from *she didn't know that* to *she does now*.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Set your hourly rate once">
    So the savings figure reflects your market rather than a guess.
  </Step>
</Steps>

## What happens next

Steps tick themselves as you complete them; nothing here needs saving. Once the checklist is done it stops being the point of the screen, and the numbers and *Needs your attention* take over.
