# Usage

> What your receptionist actually handled this billing period.

**Usage** is a counter. It tells you what your receptionist handled in the current billing period.

## What is on the screen

* **The billing period** you are looking at
* **Voice minutes**, if your hotel uses the voice channel
* **Written conversations and replies** she handled
* Where an allowance applies, **how much of it has been used**

Anything the screen cannot measure, it says so rather than showing a zero. A zero and *we could not measure this* look identical on a chart, and only one of them is good news.

  **Read the notice on the screen itself.** It tells you how this usage is treated today, and that is the authority — not this page. What the counter never does is stop your receptionist: she keeps working whatever the numbers say.

## What you do here

Nothing routinely. Come here when:

* You want to know how busy she has been before deciding on a channel
* You are sizing your hotel's own use before a conversation with us
* Something about the volume looks unexpected and you want to see where it came from
